Who you’ll work with :
You will work with McKinsey's Advanced Industries sector in our Seoul, South Korea office. You will be a part of the Automotive & Assembly knowledge team.
McKinsey's Advanced Industries sector consists of three of the firm's core sectors that share roots in technically complex design and manufacturing: Advanced Electronics/Semiconductor, Aerospace & Defense, and Automotive & Assembly. The Automotive & Assembly practice helps clients in all areas of the automotive industry as well as non-automotive companies focused on assembling products such as agricultural and construction equipment, shipbuilding and machinery.
What you’ll do :
You will support McKinsey consultants and clients in the automotive industry by collecting, summarizing, analyzing, and synthesizing information that helps solve specific business problems.
In this role you will be a thought-partner in order to prioritize research activities which will have the most impact. You will identify the data, information, and/or analysis that will support problem-solving efforts and conduct timely, cost-effective research. You will synthesize findings by preparing McKinsey-formatted end-products to include written memos, numerical analysis, and/or presentations.
You will develop industry knowledge and expertise, both general and specific. You will collaborate with the global research team to share and build knowledge, best practices and relevant new ideas, and you'll also be responsible for codifying knowledge and helping support the continuous improvement of our knowledge operations and infrastructure.

Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree from a respected institution and record of strong academic achievement Demonstrated research experience (0-12 months) in an academic or business setting is preferred Previous work experience in automotive or related industries is helpful but not required General interest in the automotive and related industries and be willing to gain industry knowledge Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills Ability to accomplish work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Professional attitude, work standards, and service orientation Strong computer skills including experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint Solid understanding of financial, economic, and general business concepts and terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean; Conversational in Japanese is a plus
